A little guidance
Help & getting started
Your account
Ask your family coordinator for a personal invitation. If you are new, create your account with your email and invitation. Choose “Join the family in my invitation” when your invitation includes an existing family.
If your coordinator already set up a wishlist for you, set your first password with a fresh personal invitation phrase. Use your email and password to sign in afterward. Sign out before setting up a different account.
Forgotten your password? Ask your coordinator to confirm it is you and issue a short-lived, one-time recovery phrase. Then choose a new password. This signs out your other sessions. Automatic email password reset is not available.
Save an idea
On a phone or computer, sign in and open My Wishlist. Choose the occasion you want, then use “Add an item”. Paste the product’s web address, add a useful title and any details, and save. You can enter an idea manually; a browser extension is not required.
On desktop Chrome, the optional Chrome extension can help capture a product page. Follow the installation page’s current availability and instructions, review the captured details, and save to the intended wishlist. It is not a phone-browser installation.
Choose a gift
After signing in, choose the person you are shopping for and the occasion. Claim an available idea to let other givers know you are handling it. Mark your purchase when appropriate, and release a claim if your plans change so another giver can help.
A claim or purchase record coordinates your family’s plans. It does not place an order with a shop, take payment or arrange delivery. Check the product and buy it with the retailer yourself.
Keep surprises private
Giver claims, purchase details and private giver conversations are kept from the recipient through the site’s existing access rules. People can only use the family and wishlist features available to their account. A coordinator’s account can have different permissions from a giver’s.
Use the correct account, recipient and occasion before saving or discussing a gift. Do not put a surprise in a message or note that the recipient can see, and do not share passwords, invitation phrases or recovery phrases.
Get help
For invitations, family access or account recovery, contact your family coordinator through the way you normally reach them. If you cannot sign in, they can help you confirm which account and phrase to use.
Once signed in, report a bug or suggestion to the site operator. Describe what you expected, what happened and the page involved. Leave out passwords and invitation or recovery phrases. A saved feedback receipt confirms storage, not a promised response or fix.
