Install once, review each idea, and update when a new version is available.

Save ideas from public shopping pages with an editable preview. Installation is for desktop Chrome. You can always add an idea on the website, including on your phone.

Install in desktop Chrome

  1. Download the ZIP above. Extract all its files into a folder you can keep. Open that folder and find manifest.json; do not select the ZIP or its parent folder.
  2. Enter chrome://extensions in Chrome’s address bar. You can also open Chrome’s menu → Extensions → Manage extensions.
  3. Turn on Developer mode yourself, choose Load unpacked, and select the extracted folder containing manifest.json. If your browser administrator blocks this, use the website to add ideas.
  4. Find Twas The List, check its version, and pin it from Chrome’s Extensions menu if you like. Open a public product page, click the extension, review or edit the fields, then choose Save to Twas The List.

Chrome manages Developer mode. This website cannot turn it on or off, install the extension automatically, or provide automatic updates.

Update or get unstuck

  • Manual update: download the new version, extract it, and replace the files in the same folder Chrome already loads. Open chrome://extensions, click Reload on Twas The List, then check the popup’s version and website address. Keep the extracted folder; deleting it breaks the install.
  • Wrong version or website: check the popup’s target address against the website above. Reload the correct folder. If you installed an older copy with a different extension ID, remove that old copy and load this folder once. Ordinary updates keep the same extension ID.
  • Sign-in or expired save: sign in on the exact target website using the same Chrome profile. Reopen the extension on the product page if a save expired or the extension was reloaded; a save token lasts ten minutes and works once. Before choosing Save, sign in to the intended account and select the occasion on the website.
  • Missing product details: edit the preview, or copy the product link and add the idea on the website. Price and image may be unavailable. A repeated product link does not add a duplicate to the same occasion list.
